Top tip: when approving your selected quote, consider cost versus quality, time and the results you want to see. A single-skilled or newly qualified contractor may charge low rates of about R450 per day, possibly delivering a lower quality result at a slower pace. Alternatively, a multi skilled, highly competitive tradesperson may quote R450 or more per hour, but will deliver an A-grade result.

Pre-paid, Instant Booking

For our “in the know” customers, bypass our admin service and pre-pay, select and book the required tradesperson yourself. Hours are charged on a sliding scale and unused monies remain as a credit in your account.

How many hours do I need?

• If you’ve got the materials and it’s quick, e.g., fixing a lock or installing a doggy door, book 1 hour at R750. If your handyman needs to buy materials, book 2hrs = R1200.
• If it’s a 1-hour job for 2 people, and you need materials, work on 2 person hours, plus an hour for materials. That equals 3 hours x 500/hr = R1500. If you’re unsure, pre-pay and book 3 hours – we’ll only deduct the hours used.
• If the handyman says the job will take longer than estimated, we’ll ask you to pre-pay the balance before the job starts.
